It's me, soaring above the Stratosphere !!

Loved the write up :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with ya! I managed to watch only the second half, but by the time Dhoni lofted the ball into the stands for the last time, all my fingernails were lodged somewhere in my small intestine. Had I watched the SL innings as well, I'd have chewed my way to a Venus De Milo impression.
ReplyDeleteSurprising how every damn match they played (possibly apart from the opener) seemed tough. They were never completely dominant, but by the time it got done, they seemed like the most deserving winners in the tournament.
Apropos Shastri and his ilk, I propose a Tracer Buller Tax to be levied on commentators, at a rate proportional to their use of cliches and utter banalities. What I love most about watching tennis is that, even if the commentary isn't brilliant, most of the time we're just listening to the sweet sound of the ball hitting the racket.

@ R's Mom - Thank you ! Did you party ?
ReplyDelete@ Celluloidrant - Every game seemed like pulling teeth out sans novocaine. As for Mr.R.J.Shastri - he must be sent for rehab to the nearest Clicheholics Anonymous
Loved the post! whattay series! I said the longest aaaargh in my lifetime when MSD walked in instead of Yuvi. He totally pulled it off, though!
ReplyDelete@ Abi - Still hasn't sunk in fully that we won :-)
