Bunnu: Violence is bad, right Amma ?
Me: Yes. Why ?
Bunnu: In school, I heard a violence song. It was in Hindi. My teacher played it on CD
Me: What ?!
Bunnu: Here, let me sing it for you
(hollers at ear-drum-shattering pitch)
Sheela Kills Bavani ... Sheela Kills Bavaaaani !
Wondering if I should:
1) Let the status quo be - better than the actual lyrics
2) Provide him with the correct lyrics - which would immediately be followed by translation requests
3) Attempt a Master Dinanath-esque Ahimsa dialogue
LOL! Hifi to Bunnu :) Welcome back PV.
ReplyDeletepliss to note I shortened high five :)
ReplyDeleteROFL!
ReplyDeleteAnd this also means PV is okay now. Regular programming will hopefully commence.
welcome back. the best way to handle this would be to tell him the correct lyrics is 'sheelaa kee bhavaanii' (the aspirated version of b) and they are two bffs professing undying love for each other.
ReplyDeleteanother option is to say it is 'sheelaa kejwaani' who is a sindhi girl who is dancing. :)
i love 4 year olds. they unleash my creativity. :)
Welcome back and what a comeback post...I so love Bunnu :):) and R sings 'sheila ke wawani' hehehe :)
ReplyDeleteROFL!! What did you do finally?

ReplyDeleteand as for your little one, let him live in his make-believe world of lyrics :)
Yaay! you are back!
ReplyDeleteMissed you and Bunnu. His version is cool!
Welcome back PV! So what did you tell him actually?!
ReplyDeletewelcome back, PV . Hope your arm is better now. First things first..this song was played at school by a teacher, you say ? Which one is this ? That darn song doesnt even require much translation ..everything is in on your face..
